The Carolina Panthers selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft after he played college football for Samford. Bradberry suffered a fractured wrist during OTAs on June 5, 2017, and was ruled out for at least a month. Head coach Ron Rivera named Bradberry and Worley the starting outside cornerbacks, with newly acquired free agent Captain Munnerlyn serving as the starting Nickelback.

In 16 games and 16 starts, Bradberry concluded the 2017 campaign with 85 combined tackles (66 solos), eleven pass deflections, three interceptions, and a sack.  Among all qualified cornerbacks in 2017, Pro Football Focus gave Bradberry an overall rating of 42.4 and placed him at position 109.
