He started his career on Fleet Street in 1988 with The Sun.

Rupert Murdoch appointed him editor of the News of the World in 1994, when he was 29 years old, making him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

In 1991, Morgan married Marion Shalloe, a ward sister at a hospital.

Albert, Spencer, and Stanley were the couple’s three kids, and they split in 2004 before divorcing in 2008.
